EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES - U.NET LECTURES

The Ultrasound Network (U.NET)* was created following an initiative by Radiologist Paul Zoumpoulis of Athens, Greece. It serves the purpose to link doctors of various subspecialties who work with ultrasound or wish to learn more about ultrasound and the ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.

Stergios Prapavesis gives lectures on special topics during one-day hands-on seminars for practitioners of various specialties that take place at regular intervals in Athens, Greece. These lectures are organized by Paul Zoumpoulis, MD Radiologist and U.NET a network of Ultrasound professionals.

The clinical work of the network has been repeatedly exhibited in major Radiology Congresses (ECR, RSNA) in the form of electronic education exhibits on CD ROM on the subjects of Transrectal prostate ultrasonography and TRUS-guided prostate biopsy and Liver focal and diffuse disease and interventional procedures. They have both been awarded prizes in the year 2002 by the scientific committee of these Congresses for their highly educational content and format.
